Love and friendship

Hi!

Today I’ve got something different for you… a short anecdote of my life 🙂

Soo… today a veeeery long lasting crush… or the love of my life… at least it felt like that… ended… well something can’t end without being started… everything started over one year ago… sadly I was too blind to see that she didn’t felt the same… or I was just too dumb not wanting to realize it, ignoring all the signs… blind of love… well… today everything ended… and I had felt that it had to end either way for a looooong time… because I knew that I couldn’t live on like that… well I didn’t get the girl… obviously 😛 but I think we are still best friends 🙂 that’s all I can ask for and I really hope that it will stay that way 🙂 as long as she’s happy I’m too.. ^^

I’d like to end this post with one picture representing a very small part of my memories about her…

Start into a new life

Hi!

Again long time no see… ^^ since the last time I’ve finished my military service (yeaaah), been to hospital quite a while (boooh) and am now trying to figure out how my life should look like… and where I want to begin…

My current plan is to take it slow and first get my technical stuff in order ^^ my brand new Nokia N900, meego, ArchLinux, Maemo, buildserver, mediacenter pc, flashing all kinds of devices ranging from my router to my WDTV Live and my phone (yes I had meego running on my N900 ^^).

Job search has already begun and all other life related things are creeping along slowly… as always ^^

but I think I’ll post about those in detail later… just wanted to tell ya: I’m still alive (and kicking).. well no… alive.. that’s it.. nothing more nothing less ^^

Planning ala geek :D aka “planning 2.0”

Well well… Again some time passed by since my last post.. Life has been much too busy.. Do i hear someone yell: holidays!! That would be great 😀 but they are a bit out of my timeframe atm.. Studying for my driving license, my todo lists (ranging from sorting my photos to proofread the allevo homepage and documentation)…

Yeah.. Can’t change it.. The reason for this post was another thing:

Have you ever struggeld about how to plan a party via internet? I would have never imagined it to be that easy.. First a friend of mine and i tried to plan my bday party in skype.. Chaos and anarchy 😀

WordPress on my phone

Hey!
This is my first entry written from my phone 🙂
Works pretty good .. In case you wonder what phone i’m talking about: last week i finally decided it was time for a new phone capable of running qt 🙂 so now i have a brand new nokia 5800 red edition in my hands with the fullscreen qwertz keyboard activated.. It works.. It is fast, reliable, you can get cool software for it (putty on my mobile phone :D) and other cool stuff..
Next step for me is to look into debranding my phone.. After i bougt it i immediately had one available update to the 21 firmware version.. But the recently released 30 firmware just wont update… Even after i’ve changed my product code…
Will come back to you as soon as anything new arises or if I find any critical showstoppers for those wanting to buy that phone themselves..

Thank god Qt exists

We would all be depressed, hysteric and overworked if it didn’t exist.. at least that’s what my colleges at work are 😀 ..

Holidays!

Wohooo!! Finally it’s holiday time 🙂 After a year full of work, after much blood sweat it’s a real relief to now start into a short 2 days vacation 😀
Wondering why just 2 days? On monday I’m starting my summer internship – lasting 1 month, and afterwards I’m taking my drivers course to reach my goal of driving a vehicle some time soon 😀

So.. what’s going on beside this real life stuff?

Many ideas, many things flooding through my head – ranging from projects to a special person… will be an interesting time coming…

Allevo is finished – beside of bugfixes and all sorts of removed features for release 😦 … time was just too short measured …
Sabayon Control Center is virtually dead – no talking, no time, no anything 😀

Had an idea about a new approach to webbrowser/tabbed browsing – maybe I’ll further ellaborate… created a very BASIC mockup… time will tell if someone’s interested in taking a look.

Dinjam the datamodeller was cut down so we don’t make the same failures as with Allevo – it was just TOO MUCH – so it’s now just a modeller for economic processes (used quite often at my school) .. although it still has it’s plugin mechanism so it will be extend able to UML and entity relationshipo diagrams 🙂

My diploma project just got running.. all contracts signed 🙂 SVN repository is accessable and waiting for some concepts, code and docu 🙂

Yeah.. that was pretty much it ^^ many things changed, too much for one blog entry… still have to convince myself to further explain my weird life to the public 😀

Moving on from feet to wheels

Those not wanting to read non-geeky stuff should stop reading from here on 😉

Yeah.. as the title says: Today I had my first driving lesson with my father.. man.. I never imagined it would be such a difficult thing.. difficult in the sense of: “needs-lots-of-practice-and-fine-tuning* .. well.. still I was already in the 2nd gear today 😀 .. not too bad for my first lesson… when I compare with others who seem to had their first pratice lesson I actually did pretty good 🙂

On a sidenote I finally seem to have found a project with an ISP for my degree dissertation next year *weeeh* 🙂

Really looking forward to code threads in C and going back to some more lower level stuff than Qt

Also my TODO list for school (homeworks, …) is nearly empty atm *wohoo*

wonder what I shall do with the time.. no I won’t have troubles finding something to do.. allevo (I & II), systemcenter, sabayon linux control center, a datamodeller (only conceptual atm), going through some C/C++ books, a book about electronic basics, multiple column kickoff for KDE4, KDE 4 coding itself and much other stuff that has already slipped my mind 😀

and beside of those items from my brain-todo-list there’s also school (sometimes ^^)

yeah.. that’s pretty much it for this time… hope to write again soon

LAN PARTY!!!

A friend of mine just remembered me that I actually have a blog.. well.. what’s a blog for if you just keep ignoring it 😀

I won’t make any promises I can’t keep telling you I’ll blog more often in the future.. well.. I actually did before 😀

So.. where’s the content of this entry.. hm.. pretty few this time actually.. nonetheless: here it comes 😀

Allevo is a vibrating little beast.. everything’s moving .. one day it nearly works, the next day it’s totally broken.. and that’s GOOD! no breakage no (r)evolution 😀

But tomorrow: LAN PARTY *MUHAHA* — get away from hacking and start playing .. well.. actually it’s today ^^

Searching for a film atm I can watch.. don’t want to go to sleep yet..

hm… so.. while writing this I actually wonder where the content has gone 😀 .. was just teasing you.. nothing interesting atm.. at least I can’t remember anything important

Alive and buried under tons of work :p

You see.. I’m still living… not that easy to get rid of me :p

Been really unproductive today.. well.. sometimes one needs to relax :p … my father has finally bought his new TV *sight* (finally .. cause he’s been searching for 3 years).. and… it’s partially broken.. the right speaker won’t work… the luck of my family.. every device we buy is broken 😀

Have also been testing out ReactOS again today with the aim to get Allevo running under it but ROS crashed after installing VMWare drivers before I could get to download Qt :p

Would like to see support for openSUSE build service first… didn’t get it yet how to build an appropriate spec file.. will have to look into that topic again

School also keeps me busy.. maths exam next week 😦 😦 and multiple project reviews 😦

PS: skiing was cool.. the weather was shit and only one ski lift was open .. but still it was fun 🙂 .. after all the ski huts are pretty nice places :p

If I don’t come back I’m buried under tons of snow :D

Yeah.. the title says it all 😀 … tomorrow will be the first time this year I get the chance to go skiing *jippey* … problem is that we have tons of snow atm because “mother Holle” was really generous lately ^^ .. 470cm on the highest point… 240cm on the lowest… have never seen so much snow… until now … tomorrow I will 😀

My class and of course myself will travel to the Hochkar “mountain” by bus and we’ll have a beautiful ski day .. in theory ^^ … weather for tomorrow is said to be.. let’s say ugly ^^ and snowslide alert is still at the highest possible level (they could slip without any external influence).. well.. we’ll see.. the only thing I know is that I want to go skiing again and that it’s my last chance this year ….

So.. wish me luck 🙂

PS: And if the weather’s bad … they still got some ski huts 😀
